Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! All of us here at Keela would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It’s been a busy year here at Keela and the team have been reflecting on all that we have achieved in 2019. With the launch of a new website and a number of exhibitions attended, we have continued to work hard throughout the year to bring new products and a high level of customer service. Here’s a little look back on our top memories of 2019… The new Keela Tactical Solutions website – A long time in the making, the Keela Tactical Solutions site launched in September. With a new design and an opportunity to show more information about our jackets, the site launch was a great success and we have had a great response. Social Media – This year we decided to get more active on our social media, opening up an Instagram account and regularly posting on our Facebook and Twitter. We have been amazed at the support we have had online. Our followers have been great at interacting with our content which inspires us to carry onwards and upwards in the new year. If you’d like to follow us on social media, check out the links at the bottom of this blog. OTS 2019 – We always love the Outdoor Trade Show and 2019 was no exception. With a fantastic Whisky & Gin Tasting Evening, it was great to meet customers and get to know some of you a little bit better. Working with others – This year has been great to get to know others enjoying the outdoors and working alongside them. 2019 has brought us in contact with Genghis the Springer and his owner Mac Wright who recently “compleated” all the Munros. Genghis looked fantastic in his dog jacket. This also led us to get to know Adrian Trendall of All Things Cuillin, who has been loving our products and taking some amazing pictures in some fantastic locations. 2020 is bound to bring us more, with us recently partnering up with Ben Cook who is setting out an a solo 12,000km journey from Cairo to Cape Town on foot to raise awareness for the current climate crisis. We’ve also managed to work with a variety of charities over the year. The team took part in a Macmillan coffee morning in October and Christmas Jumper Day in December. We also decided to do things a little differently for Black Friday, bringing back our successful “Bright Friday” which saw 15% of total sales in the Blackout week go to Action for Children’s Secret Santa. We are excited to announce that we raised a fantastic £750! The Keela Tactical Team also made a financial donation to South West Scotland RnR who provide training programmes to help ex-servicemen gain the qualifications they need to start driver training for heavy goods vehicles as well as training to help gain the SIA qualification required for employment in the security industry. We’re excited to see what 2020 brings us and hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
