bushcraft.co.uk:- ''An excellent all year round, versatile, child's coat, for all types of weather. With the liner fleece jacket zipped in it is great for winter, with warmth and protection from the wind and rain. When unzipped the outer jacket is a perfect summer rainy day coat, with the fleece used as a cooler lightweight jacket. There are poppers in the sleeves and at the neck to secure the inner jacket, something we only found after we got really fed up of the sleeves coming out each time the jacket was taken off! The reflective thread running around the coat is a great added saftey feature when walking in the dark. The hood goes far enough over so easily protects from the rain, but still giving good visibilty, there are draw strings for windier days and a nice Velcro chin strap to secure the hood in place and protect the neck. The hood also rolls up and tucks away neatly beneath poppers. The cuffs are half elastic, with a Velcro strap to make a snug fit and there is a waist draw cord to produce a snug fit. My son loves this coat especially with the hidden chest pocket, for his treasure!''
Trail Magazine:- '' This waterproof jacket is a former winner of the children's waterproofs reviews in Trail, and it's still a modern classic that is very hard to beat. Firstly check the price and then look at the features you get. There is a waterproof and breathable fabric with a mesh lining, so it should be comfy. you get a chest pocket as well as the usual lower pockets, and these are all zipped. There are stormflaps over all these zips too to keep the rain out. The front zip ges a large, fleecy chinguard that is effective for protecting the child from the zip. The hood is particularly good, with face and volume adjustment plus the ability to roll it away in the collar. Velcro adjustment at the cuffs and a hem drawcord ensure draughts are locked out and that the jacket fits. Finally reflective piping adds a little night security.
Verdict: The Keela Simpson Advance Jackets is an ideal jacket for most children heading outdoors in all weathers. It was awarded both 'Best Value' and 'Best in Test' in our review.
